Minister of Music – Job Description

Second Branch Baptist Church is currently looking to fill a fulltime Minister of Music Position.  This person would minister to the congregation of SBBC and surrounding community through the area of music ministry.  Responsibilities would include planning, evaluating, and implementing a comprehensive music ministry, including but not limited to the adult sanctuary choir, youth choir, children’s choirs, hand bells/chimes, accompanists, instrumentalists, and vocalists.

SBBC is a congregation with an average worship attendance of 300 with potential for many more.  We enjoy a blended worship style and appreciate a wide variety of music styles built upon a mostly traditional worship service format.  We are fortunate to have many volunteers already in place that attend to the area of handbells, children's and youth music as well as other areas.  Additionally, we have a broad range of talent (voice and instrumental) that enjoy participating in worship.
